First Date Drinks
It’s the first date and honestly you’re at that point where you’re kinda actually dreading it. Small talk with a stranger with the potential for very real awkwardness? You turn up and turns out his picture was taken in 2015 and you’re not quite sure where his hairline went? He’s a Conservative??? Luckily a margarita and a cute fit will make it all better… not really, but it’s fun to dress up anyway
Bowling/Mini Golf/Other cheesy activity
Alright, so there’s probably a cap on how many dinner and drinks dates you can do. He may be over 6ft, but how many times can you really listen to him mansplain crypto to you over an espresso martini? This is where you suggest a trite activity-based date to switch things up. Plus he can do that thing where he stands behind you and shows you how to golf/bowl/basically anything he’s probably not any better at than you but you let him have it anyway. A micro-mini and a long sleeve baby tee is the perfect amount of cool/casual mixed with flirtiness.
Brunch
Okay in all seriousness you weren’t really expected to ever see him in the harsh reality of daylight. That contour was meant for candlelight ONLY! Juxtapose a feminine sundress with vintage leather boots and you can’t go wrong
Meeting the Friends
You can tell a lot about a guy from the company he keeps. Sure he’s a Virgo, but he’s friends with an awful lot of Scorpios. All his friends are single fuckboys? (girl run). Either way, dress to impress. You can never go wrong with a simple baby tee and jeans. Elevate the look with a pair of strappy heels or slides. Extra points for thrifted vintage band tee that’ll be sure to impress at least one of his friends because you know there’s minimum one dude who’s into old school alt rock and CAN’T WAIT to talk about it
Road Trip
Your first road trip together is a big test. What if you run out of stuff to talk about? What if you find out he loves country music even though he grew up in Southern California and he swears you’ll like it too if you just give it a chance and then proceeds to play it for 3 hours straight? Just me? Anyway this is where you make sure he’s driving so you can wear your comfiest outfit, throw your feet up on the dash, and doze off while he does the heavy lifting. A pair of grey sweats and white sneakers work perfectly. Crop off the bottom of a plain white tank and throw it on for that perfectly done/undone feel
